Our amazing client in Miami is looking for a Director of Human Resources who can help with our day-to-day people operations for internal purposes This person will help to shape and execute regional people strategy. They will have excellent negotiation and problem-solving aptitude with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices.
- Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
- Oversee and process payroll on ADP
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations and maintaining records.
- Manages employee compensation, review, new hire and termination process.
- Works to establish employee performance and counseling of goals and measurements to improve employee performance and expectation
- Develops Performance Improvement Plans as needed and may act to counsel management on appropriate recommendations including termination.
- Handles any necessary employee communications to keep managers and employees up to dates on policies, practices and general information.
- Works closely with Senior Management to ensure a high level of employee morale by recommending and managing employee events in an effort to build the company culture and reduce turnover.
- Responsible for all new hires, terminations, exit interviews and the preparation and follow up of severance packages when applicable
- Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Strategic business acumen; ability to make business decisions in a dynamic operation
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage complex projects in a global business
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and proven aptitude in learning new technical systems as needed
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong Analytical capabilities
• Ability to trouble shoot and resolve a variety of complex, highly sensitive employee or people issues
• ADP Payroll experience
Experience/Education/Certifications:
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) or equivalent Human Resources Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
• 4+ years of People Operations/Human Resources experience, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
